Although what I wrote is not intended as a strategy guide, the implications of a better understanding of why men persist the way they do is to open up more possibilities for how to safely reject them.

Of course I agree that ultimately it's persistent men who need to work on respecting when a woman says no, until those men get there, knowing that a man's first priority is his ego can potentially enable a woman to use that to her advantage, and explore other methods for saying no other than constantly reu-using the boyfriend excuse.
